~ CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR ~

As most of our hunting is done on foot, what you wear is of fundamental importance to your comfort and success.

Medium dark colors are essential to avoid premature detection whilst stalking game and you should bring three changes of green or brown shirts and trousers of a tough cotton type.

Rubber soled hunting boots in a darkish color, plus at least 3 pairs of thick woolen or cotton socks are most suitable. Pack a pair of sneakers for camp use. Make sure your hunting boots are broken in before coming on Safari.

Mornings and evenings are normally quite cool to very cold so pack both a light and a heavy down jacket as you will be very glad you did.

A Safari hat should be brought even though we supply each client with a complimentary hunting cap. Good quality sun glasses are important.

Be sure to bring a bathing suit for a Safari during the summer months.

~ CLIMATE ~

May through August are our winter months and occasionally it can get bitterly cold. Bring warm clothing and gloves during this period. The remainder of the year one hunts in shorts and short sleeved shirt but during the evening a jacket is required to ward off the cold.

Our rainy season normally starts in October and ends in April. Wet weather should not concern you as our rains always occur as thunderstorms and normally last for half an hour of less. Rain never interferes with our hunting and only improves the landscape and makes tracking so much easier.

The climate is mostly very dry so a lot of moisturizer and sun block creams should be brought along.
