T
he Lamprecht family made this safari and holiday an all around lifetime experience, with a better insight on Africa, it's different cultures and diversity.  See you soon, Brad, Michaela, Florian, Dan, Veronika, Oliver, and Max Chapman - Vernon, B.C. Canada "From Beautiful British Columbia"

Thanks to all that we had this wonderful safari experience.  We thank the entire Lamprecht family and their exceptional team of staff members who made this a wonderful experience - it could not have been better!  We had many great hunting adventures with our family.  Weidmannsheil!  1000 Thanks! Peter and Margaret Schmidt - Vernon, B.C. Canada

Dear Jofie and Monica, We can’t begin to thank you enough for the wonderful time we’ve had.  Thank you for opening your home to us and showing us your beautiful country!  The staff has been amazing, the food andaccommodations fantastic.  We especially enjoyed being able to sample some of the animals Matt took.  Thank you so much as well for being flexible with our schedule - unfortunately, work doesn’t stop just because we’re on vacation!  Even so, this trip has been amazing and we look forward to a long and continued friendship!  Matt Muns & Sarah a.k.a. “Future Muns” - Dallas, TX

D
ear Jofie and Monica, What a wonderful piece of paradise you have here-  everything is so beautiful.  It has been a joy to be able to share life in your world- from all the magnificent animals, the smiling faces of all the children at the school, your gracious staff, the delicious food and services, to you two.  The bonus also was the five warm and fuzzy puppies!  The extra bonus -  all the game the guys were blessed with, and the fun shopping we girls experienced.  Thank you and may God bless you today and every day!  In the words from Jeremiah 29:11-13 that were quoted at the Independence celebration at the school: “ ...for I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, not of calamity but for a future and a hope, declares the Lord, when you search for me with all your heart….”  Bless you both!  Francine Spies - Watertown, SD

Jofie and Monica, You do live in paradise!  Your operation is the very finest, your staff is fantastic, your food is exceptional.  Your facility is unreal, wonderful.  Your hunt is done the right way-  guns carried in the truck.  The experience was the best!  The conversation is educational!  And Jofie, thanks for the great stories!  Thank you both for taking such great care of Sam and my family (Sam and the puppies).  We leave with memories of one of the greatest times I and we ever had!  Thank you so very much!  Jim Spies - p.s.  I would love to come back again!  Leopard and Sable….  See you in Dallas!

Jofie and Monica, It has been really nice getting know you at the shows over the past several years, and I am so glad that we booked this safari!  It is amazing how fast 14 days can go by.  I could have sketched a trophy leopard, warthog, eland, springbuck, etc.   We all had such an amazing time.  The food, accommodations, staff, are all exceptional.  We cannot wait to come back and visit our “family” in Namibia again!  See you in Dallas and Reno! Your friend, Joshua Spies + family -Watertown, SD

Josh said it all,  except how wonderful you all were with the whole family and especially Sam! We had the absolute best family safari here-  better than anyone can imagine.  Even though Sam is only 2 ½, I have a feeling he will remember this place and want to come back very soon!  Thanks for everything, Wow!  Heather and Sam

Dear Joof, Marina, Leandra and Louis, After our flight from Frankfurt was delayed, we arrived in Namibia to find Marina waiting for us at the airport at 2:00am.  We knew that our time with you would be fantastic and we were right.  You made our trip truly memorable.  All of you were wonderful and we have had the time of our life.  All of you, your staff and everyone have been terrific.  With all you have done for us and shared with us, just saying thank you doesn’t seem like enough but it is the only thing we can say.  Thank you for your hospitality, Thank you for sharing your beautiful lodge and land with us, thank you for sharing yourselves and a little piece of Namibia.  Thank you for helping us fulfil a life long dream of visiting and hunting Africa.  The hunt was fantastic and just perfect.  I am truly thrilled with the trophies I managed to get.  They are marvellous. The stories of our trip and hunt will be told and retold for a long time.

On their return to Wyoming, the Burkharts sent the following comment: Thank you again for everything, especially your hospitality.  For us it truly was a trip and an adventure of a lifetime.  We hope it will not be the only one.  It really is hard for us to express, especially in words, how much we enjoyed our time with you and in Namibia. The hunting was fantastic, but just as good were the conversations at dinner, while hunting and while just relaxing.  I am thrilled with the animals I had the privilege of hunting and taking.  The memories of the stalks are just as strong as the memories of taking the animals.  However, an interesting thing happens when we tell other people about our trip.  While we might start with the animals and hunting, but the conversation always turns to another topic which we spend a lot more time on.  That is the country of Namibia and all of the amazing and wonderful people we spent time with while we were there - that is all of you.  I think we have actually returned home changed from when we left.  Changed in a very good way. For the beautiful celebration of life, for The Safari with a heart – Thank you all! Don & Mary Burkhart - Rawlins, Wy

"There is not much personal adventure left in this world- not many boyhood dreams that lose nothing, but rather gain, by fulfillment." - Robert Ruark, 1954

My first safari, with you, may be the only boyhood dream I had that became fulfilled, and way beyond what I had expected. I was met on the first day by new old friends, was taken care of in ways I couldn´t imagine, learned hom REAL conservation should be practiced, and took tremendous trophies in a manner so ethical that I can brag about it at home. The trip to Larry´s was an added bonus, Etosha was breathtaking, and Swakopmund was fascinating. Sharing your lives with us has been something we will never forget- our lives have been changed by you, and for the better. These journal entries are usually so final. and I usually avoid them for that reason, but this one is not. Jofie, we have not shared our last hunt together- there will be more, god willing, many more; and Monica, you know we both love you and will miss you until we see you again. I cannot wait to tell the littlest Lamprecht , that short of his parents, no one else has known of him/her longer than I. Thank you for that, as well. We will share campfires together again, Chris and Tammy Krell - Kimmerer, WY

MAY

Dear Joof, Marina, Jofie and Monica and all the Staff,  You came highly recommend by two of our friends as a #1 high class place, so our expectations were high.  The reality has gone so far beyond our wonderful expectations that it is hard to express the time that we have had!Everything here is more beautiful than words can say, the wildlife is incredible and the sunsets are just remarkably beautiful. The flowers every evening and the cookies by the bed are just a couple of the extra things you get every day to make it special.  As a non-hunter  sight-seeing I have seen more wildlife everyday than anyone can imagine.  Ernie has got 10 magnificent trophy animals in 10 hunting days.  As for me, I have more beautiful pictures and memories than anyone would ever imagine – the animals, birds, sunsets etc.We want to thank you and all your staff for the most wonderful safari anyone could ever have. Once again thanks for a breath taking experience!  Ernie and Jo Callison  - Welch, OK

Joof and Marina ,Thanks for providing one of the most experiences of our lives.  The beauty of your land and your lodge are impossible to describe and must be experienced.  We enjoyed a series of the most beautiful sunsets I have witnessed.  Zebra under a full double rainbow…. Even the shadows are beautiful around your lodge! Your family was so friendly, you staff so helpful and attentive to every detail.  We will display our magnificent trophies proudly, and recommend that our friends visit this wonderful place.   Until we return….thank you!  Bruce Dennis, MD and Sherry Dennis  - Ada, OK

Joof, Marina, Jofie, Monica, Louis, Leandra and Staff , Under African skies… We were enlightened by your knowledge of the land and its peoples. Thank you for teaching us about the animals and how to photograph them.  We were thrilled to hunt here.  Your Professional  Hunters, Jofie and Louis, did an excellent job and we will never forget the stalks, the victories and elation of hunting African game.  We will proudly display our seven trophies because Hunters Namibia Safaris brings home the BIG ones!! Most of all, we were warmed by your hospitality.  The superior service by your staff is unmistakable; but it is the lanterns that light the way, the fires in the evenings   and the laughter over dinner that we will carry with us. Thank  you friends.    You have given us two weeks of peace, friendship and superior hunts.  We will carry the memories forever and a piece of our hearts will remain here – under African skies.  Roger and Nikki Callison - Fittstown, OK

Dear Marina, Joof & Your 'Gang' = There are hardly words to thank you for your hospitality, thoughtfulness & generosity here in your beautiful lodge and land and throughout all our travels on this our second - and best - visit to Namibia.   May all the dreams of Namibia - and the Lamprecht family - come true.  We look forward to many years of friendship.  Brooke Chilvers Lubin , Editor, African Sporting Gazette &  Rudy Lubin , P.H.  CAR & Tanzania

Joof and Marina - this is an absolutely wonderful facility!  It reflects the character of our country and its people, but most importantly the character and personality of the gracious hosts.  It's an experience I will always cherish for the rest of my life.  Thanks for the privilege. Lazarus JacobsExecutive Director , Marketing - Paragon Investment Holdings - Windhoek, Namibia

Well done once again for what the Lamprecht Family is doing to uphold the good name and reputation of Namibia. May you be blessed with success and happiness.  Nangolo Mbumba  -  Member of Parliament , Minister of Education - Windhoek, Namibia.

Dear Jofie and Monica, This safari was terrific.  You organized everything perfectly!  The cheetah is beautiful and the leopard enormous.  Hunting leopard with the dogs was a very interesting experience with a lot of adrenalin-  one of my best hunts in Africa, if not THE best.  You are very nice people and your staff also.  Hope to see you both in Italy with Alessandro and Milena.  Thank you for all you did for my safari!  Alex Beikircher

JUNE

Dear Leandra, Louis, Joof and Marina, There are only a few times in a person's life that you say to yourself, ‘I Will always remember this moment’. This trip was filled with those moments. This has been the Hunt I have always dreamed of. The Strong & Quiet advice of Joof, The wonderful Grace of Marina, The Smile and honest excitement of Leandra when we returned from a day's hunt and of course Louis' Love of the Hunt, including the Now Famous ‘Crab Crawl’. Thanks for the Zebra and the 700-yard shot on the Oryx. You have all enriched my life, my life is now fuller. Thanks, your New Friend John Huffman - PS: Please tell Monica it was nice to see a True Texas Lady again. GO BULLS!! & MAYBE A LITTLE SHARKS TOO!!

To the Entire staff of Hunters Namibia Safaris. My life-long dream has been to go on Safari to Africa. I could not come to a better place to make my dreams come true. I have made life long friends and feel like I am part of your ‘family’.I cannot pick out a single moment or a single person that stands out in my mind. The entire trip was truly amazing, the staff, the accommodations, the hunts and of course ‘Charlie’. I cannot wait to bring more of my family and friends to share in this truly remarkable experience. See you soon! - Dick Huffman

Joof & MarinaAs a non-hunter, I never imagined I could so enjoy the experience of an African safari!  You and your staff have created an atmosphere of elegance and hospitality that will beckon our return to your beautiful Namibia in the very near future. Joof- your sundowner stories will never be forgotten – especially you as # 98.  From this day forward I’ll pump gas with a grin and think of you. Marina, your remarkable poise, and charm as an impeccable hostess is absolutely remarkable.  For these last few weeks you’ve made a ‘bean counter’ feel like a queen.  Unforgettable!  Jean Leonard  - Monroe, LA

Joof, Marina Darlin’, Didi, Jack and staff , You made the dreams of my childhood come true. Since I was a small boy ‘safari’ was one of those things that I dreamed of, but never considered would come true.  Through God’s blessings, the opportunity arose.  Meeting ya’ll at DSC sealed the deal.  I knew that we were with the right people from the start.  All questions I had and some I didn’t know to ask were answered via e-mail.  (Marina’s was the first e-mail I ever sent!). Upon arrival in this beautiful country we were greeted by Leandra (probably a goddess from somewhere) and taken on our first African adventure ‘stuck in the sand of Hwy 1!’  The Lake Lodge was fantastic in every way.  The staff – The Food – The Rooms and the Unbelievable View.   The hunting was incredible, Joof the PH, Johnny the tracker and Didi the mighty hunting ‘dawg’ taught me the art of spot and stalk.   In the first 5 ½ days of hunting I netted 8 great trophies (7 gold medals!) and one black mamba. Marina should have been named Grace!  The LADY of Hunters Namibia Safaris should have a statue in her honour for her ambassadorship of Namibia. I am already missing these wonderful people (Didi the most).  I’ll go home and start planning my return and dream of the elusive zebras, the one trophy that got away and the most fun to hunt.  Withgreatestrespect, Cecil Leonard - Monroe, LA

Dear Jofie and Monica, This safari was terrific!  You organized everything perfect.  The cheetah is beautiful and the leopard enormous!  Hunting leopard with the dogs was a very interesting experience with a lot of adrenalin -  one of my best hunts in Africa, if not THE best.  You are very nice persons, and your staff also.  Hope to see you both in Italy with Alessandro and Milena.  Thank you for all you did for my safari,   Alex Beikircher

Dear Jofie and Monica, This seems all like a dream.  Both of you and Leandra and Louis are remarkable people - you make me feel like we have known each other for years.  I will never forget any of you or the experience.  Can’t wait to see “all y’all” in Dallas. Thanks for the great memories and adventures! Jan Sargent  “Hubbard” - Dallas, Texas -

Jofie and Monica, This has been one of the best family vacations ever!  Africa is amazing!  You all are wonderful and this camp/farm is outstanding.  Between you guys, Louis and Leandra, and your entire staff, you made all of us feel like family and we didn’t want or need for anything.  Thank you for giving me some of my best memories and experiences of my life!  I hope to see you again! Dana Sargent

Jofie and Monica, Thank you for the black wildebeest  Jofie!  This has been the best family trip ever and I thank you for making us feel at home!  Again, thank you!  Oh yeah!  You too Leandra and Louis!  I love you Monica and Jofie! Elena Margeret Jones.

Jofie and Monica, This trip was absolutely amazing!  You both are so awesome and you made the trip what it was!  Thank you for everything!  See you in Dallas!  Louis and Leandra-  Thank you as well!  Thank you for the Oryx!  Y’all are the best!  Love, Becca Jones

Jofie and Monica, Thank you so much.  This trip has been amazing!  You guys are great and so sweet.  Jofie, you have taught me so much about hunting.  Monica, you are so funny and great to be around.  Louis and Leandra, you guys are awesome and I will miss you.  Love, Abby Jones

The Lamprecht Family and Staff showed us The greatest hospitality and allowed us to experience a truly FIVE-STAR operation.  On our first day I saw more game than on my previous eight Safaris in South Africa.  Joof was great with the boys and I remain amazed at Johnny’s tracking skills.  Marina is The perfect hostess – always so graceful.  I could write pages about the food but will limit it to only: Truffles, Oysters & Champagne. We were surprised by the photos and other gifts – all best ideas that we will steal.   We came as clients and leave as friends. The Miller Group - Johan, David, Lee & Don Miller  -  Don Miller, Heath, TX / Saint Jo, TX\

Dear Joof & Marina: Namibia is truly a beautiful country and Hunters Namibia is truly a great destination for an African Safari experience.  My son Eli  (13) had the time of his life.  The hunting was outstanding due to bountiful game and experienced Staff.  I was particularly impressed with Louis and his ability to find game & get us on top of it.  The experience watching Tilonga track was one I’ll never forget – he is amazing.

Almost as enjoyable as the hunting was the camaraderie at the camp.  I loved Joof’s stories and learned a lot about African wildlife, ballistics and the history of Namibia, which I find fascinating.  Even though Eli is an accomplished bow hunter, this Safari experience was a different kind of hunting which he enjoyed.  I was very pleased that he was taught so much about hunting big game in Africa.  Of course the whole trip was a learning experience for him (as well as me) and I know he will remember this trip for the rest of his life.

As we all constantly talked about – the food was outstanding.  I don’t have one particular dish that was my favourite – but the Truffles & meat filled pastries are 2 of many dishes I really liked.  It was fun sitting around the fire with our sundowners while these pretty, well dressed women brought wood to the fire – something I thought was a nice touch. Marina – I enjoyed our trip to Windhoek and was impressed with your display of good will as a sort of Ambassador for your country and the PH industry. Joof – I like your philosophy of being a conservationist 1st and a hunter second and I really enjoyed your stories that touched the Heritage of the African Safari.  I also enjoyed Jofie’s leopard hunting stories.  We came as clients.  I now consider you two and Jofie, Monica, Leandra, Louis, Tilonga and the rest of the Staff friends.  Jay Cook & Eli Cook  - Rochester, IL

To Joof & Marina,  Thank you for making my 19th trip to AFRICA the best one yet.  The hunting, food & elegance of your operation were all outstanding.  I know that Will (13) had a great time; we are already discussing when we will return.  On Louis & Leandra, you have 2 of the nicest, hardest working people I have ever been around.  I loved hunting with Louis….and I am not easy to please.  Joof, I loved the certainty of your views (even those which are wrong!); you remind me of me.  A thing that stood out for me was the optimism you both have for the future of your Safari business…what a refreshing joy that is. I look forward to seeing you in Dallas in January and to my return to Hunters Namibia!  All the best,  Jeff & Will Cook  - South Lake, TX

As my travel and hunting quests near completion, I cannot help but to remember my many experiences while hunting, but also ‘the roses I smelled along the way’. I have always mixed hunting with observation and study of the history and customs of the area being visited. I have been privileged to hunt on all six (hunting) continents and collected a respectable amount of trophies from Europe, Asia almost all of South America and South Pacific and all of North America. But Africa is my ‘adopted’ home with 14 trips to Africa and nineteen safaris. I was fortunate this trip to complete my African SCI Inner Circle at the Diamond Level, giving my all 23 Inner Circles at that level. With a Black Faced Impala and Damara Dik-Dik in Namibia, I collected my 100th & 101st African big game animals.

I saved the best for last. The quality & quantity of trophy animals here is outstanding; the accommodation is wonderful; the food is unbelievable, but the people are what make it great.

I will look forward to seeing the whole team in Dallas and Reno, every year in the future.  John Estes - Dallas , TX

Monica and Jofie,  When we were preparing for our safari, all of our children were wondering what they were going to do for two weeks in Africa.  We got the typical questions:  “Will there be a TV in my room?”, “Will we have computer access so I can talk to my friends?”, “What are we going to eat…..because I’m not eating any African animal meat?”   We told them not to worry….the food will be great and there will be plenty to do, while secretly hoping that we were close to being right.

We never once heard "I’m bored", and the children enjoyed most everything that was served.  With four children ages 10 to 17, this is unheard of!  We did hear:  “When are we coming back?” and “Can we move here?”   This Safari has made our family closer.  We looked forward to sundowners around the fire every evening because we encouraged, praised, and genuinely enjoyed each other while making memories that will be passed down for generations to come!

You have renewed our faith in the power of family…no television, no internet, no cell phones, just quality time with loved ones. Thank you!  -   Tim and Melissa Wafford - Dallas, TX

Dear Jofie and Monica, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your unbelievable hospitality, first class accommodations, great food, incredible game and the best experience I have ever had in this, my ninth trip to Africa.  You are without a doubt… the ‘class’ of Africa!  All other venues- no matter what the game- pale by comparison.  I wish I had come here 16 years ago.  There simply is no better place, no better people than Hunters Namibia!  And I mean thatP.S.   Monica made the “day”… not once, but twice… with her super duper fabulous tacos!  Thank you- thank you!  Richard Sanders - Prescott, WI

JULY

Dearest Marina, Joof, Family and Staff, As I sit on the balcony soaking up the brilliant African sunshine, with the wind blowing, I cannot help but know the wonder of God's creation.  I feel so blessed to have been able to spend this short time in this beautiful place that He made with His hands.  Thank you for your graciousness, friendship, hospitality, conversation and honesty.  I know my boys are so enjoying the hunting and camaraderie....that makes me so happy!  A special thank you to Leandra and Louis... We've so enjoyed talking to you.  Leandra - thank you from the bottom of my heart for the care and concern you showed Payton while he was ill.  Taking us into town to see the doctor was beyond the call of duty... you are an angel!  Louis - hunting with you was so much fun!  I know that Payton and chase had a lot of fun stalking, laughing and celebrating.  I feel blessed to have gotten to share in their trophies... that late afternoon wildebeest hunt was a blast!  Keep up the good work, both of you.  I believe God has you here for a reason! To chef and staff, I may not be able to fit into my clothes when I get home, but it was worth it!  What a glorious spread of meals...yummy! (as Joof would say!). Keep cooking - your English is very good...I wish that I could speak another language as well! Blessing, my new friends!  I feel sure we will return...hopefully I will be able to stay longer the next time. Take care of my boys! In His Name, Gayle Porter - Cappell, TX

Dear All, I cannot begin to express my gratitude for everything that you have done for me.  Your hospitality surpassed the call of friendship and neared that of family.  Sorry that I was such a bother getting sick and whatnot, but I think through all the turmoil all of us became so much closer and formed bonds that will not soon be forgotten.  Aunt Marina: you are so wise and a great person for a conversation.   Uncle Joof: your stories were hilarious and I know that inside your rough shell you are a teddy bear.   Leandra: You are like my second mother. I don't know what I would have done without you.   Louis: You're the man.  When I come back we are going to tear it up and then come back and drink lots of Scotch! To everyone else - thank you for making the trip so enjoyable.  The food was unbelievable and everyone was so accommodating. I wish I could stay longer because I am going to miss everyone a lot.  I have no doubt I will be back so don't miss me too much (Ha). I will win the tournament for you guys!!  Team B for life! Much lovePayton Porter (17)Coppell, TX - P.S. Jofie and Monica: you guys are awesome; get married soon, you are a cute couple.  I expect a wedding invitation.  Oh, and I am going to miss the dogs, too!

Joof, Marina, Leandra & LouisPlanning for a trip to Africa takes a lot of time, you book a year or two in advance and gather everyone’s schedules to fit into the trip.  As time goes by, prior to the trip, anticipations grow & grow.  For our trip we had not just our family but dear friends who, hearing of our plans and hopes for this trip, asked to come along.  I was the person in the family who wanted to share the “Safari Experience” with the group and the one who convinced the boys, Gayle and the Fosses to come and see what I enjoyed so much about hunting in Africa. WOW! I could not have been more pleased with every single aspect of the entire trip!  Every person was delighted, which can sometimes be hard to do with a large group.  Thanks for a super Safari and for making everyone feel at home here in your wonderful country.   Dave Porter - Coppell, TX

Dear everyone who made this trip a wonderful safari…that includes the dogs, We have been many places on vacation but I think this is the hardest place to say goodbye to!  I have had so much fun here hunting and just talking and telling stories that my anticipation for our next trip here is already growing! Uncle Joof, you asked me what you guys needed to improve on and honestly there is nothing that needs improvement….except shooting sticks on the balcony, but that’s just a suggestion!  Thank you everyone for one of my favourite vacations ever & great trophies! - Chase Porter (15)

Dear Joof, Marina, Leandra & LouisThanks so much for making my first visit to Africa wonderful.  You are very gracious hosts, exceptional guides and gifted teachers.  I enjoyed being outside every day without the distraction of life outside of the land.  The property holds incredible beauty and harmony.  I will miss it while I am away.  Kathy & I enjoyed cruising with Joof & Johnny.  Each day was a new adventure.  You are both truly exceptional hunters and I feel blessed for having the experiences of our hunts together. Leandra & Louis, I especially enjoyed our evening fireside chats & laughter.  You guys are wonderful company and you made everything easy and pleasant for us. Until we meet again, Walter Foss - Coppell, TX

Dear Marina, Joof, Family & Staff,
I enjoyed my stay with you very much.  You are gracious hosts and always made us feel at home.  Chef’s food was wonderful, a little too wonderful I fear!  I enjoyed riding along with the hunters, and joining them for some of the stalks.  It was exciting and educational.  Joof was very kind to point out photo opportunities and he even gave me some tips on technique.  The animals are spectacular as well as the Namibian skies, the grass seemed honey coated in the morning sun and looked like smoky fog as the sun set on the cool rides back to camp at night.  I think the fragrance of Joof’s pipe tobacco is imprinted on my mind, and pipe tobacco will forever remind me of this incredible time. Sincerely, Kathy Coppell, TX

Joof, Marina, Leandra, Louis & rest of the staff,  Words cannot explain the feelings I have at this moment.  I will not lie; I had scepticism before arriving in South Africa & Namibia.  Both places now have a ‘special’ place in my heart.  Africa is ‘truly’ a bug or itch you have to do over & over again!  Before coming here, I had a dream of some nice trophies that I would like to pursue (fair chase).  I am leaving with what most people could only dream of.  In my mind, I have come away with the ‘Plains Game Grand Slam’ – Oryx, Waterbuck, Wildbeest, Kudu & Sable.  All of these animals are truly magnificent!  Thank You! Your staff with their first class treatment, pampering, spoiling or whatever you call it is tremendous!  Chef Henock’s creations of the various Game can’t be beat!  Leandra’s organization & coordination of everything I will not forget.  Louis & Johnny’s patience, knowledge & understanding, made me a better hunter daily!  And last but definitely not least, Joof & Marina, your passion, dedication and mostly your hard work has truly made your business one of the best in the ‘whole world’.  I take my hat off to both of you for the incredible hospitality you have shown me this week.  Like you said when we first met, we met as PH/client /hostess,  and I truly hope we have gone away like family & friends. Until my next time back – and there will be a next time.  I wish you, your family & staff all the best & continued success!!  Stay in touch & best wishes always!   Brett K. Vana  - Switzerland

Dear Jofie and Monica, In a world which becomes smaller every day, yet somehow less intimate, where common courtesies are glossed over in the daily rush to do nothing of much importance and the art of hospitality is all but lost; it has been so delightful for all of us to have had the opportunity to visit your home, to enjoy your company and to be reminded of those truly important aspects of life which we often forget even exist!  You have been the consummate hosts and your love of the place that surrounds you- which we have briefly claimed as our own- has rejuvenated, inspired, and formed the foundations of a lifetime of memories for us all.

For Brad, Waverly and Liam, who have had the joy of experiencing Africa and its multitude of wonders, you have brought us an even greater understanding and appreciation of a world apart and yet so essentially familiar.  We leave even more impassioned than we arrived.  And for Chris, as a new-comer, your knowledge, experience and your aptitude has ignited in him that persistent desire to return to Africa, like we all wish to do.  Your generous hospitality and the many thoughtful personal touches make us all want to return all the sooner and here to Rooikraal Ranch.  Thank you so much for a truly unforgettable experience.  Liam Simmons & Chris Fichtel - Atlanta, GA

Jofie asked me to sum up my experience of Africa in just three words.   They are “comingbacksoon.”  Chris Fichtel  - Atlanta, GA

Jofie and Monica,  Our experience was definitely an unforgettable one.  We enjoyed every aspect of our safari, from sunup to sundown.  The thought and effort that you put into even the littlest things made our stay that much better.  Monica, you are the ultimate hostess and we thank you for all that you did and all the things you let us borrow because we didn’t bring our own.  Jofie… the way that you got us so close to the animals and made us feel so comfortable  with every move shows that you are a caring and very experienced P.H. that absolutely loves what he does.  Thank you both so much for everything and we look forward to coming back in the future.  Much love!  Waverly and Brad Battaglia  - Atlanta, GA

AUGUST

Jofie and Monica, Alice and I had a splendid time here in Namibia.  We are so fortunate to have met both of you.  Never in our wildest dreams had we thought we would be so lucky as to get not one but two beautiful leopards!  We will remember this trip forever. Alice Poluchova-Parkville, MO - Bob Steger-Flagstaff, AZ

To Marina, Joof, Leandra, Louis & all the staff;   Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!  Each of you made it special in a different & unique way.  I don’t have nearly enough time to say all I want to say about how fantastic this trip has been (I’ll have to email you the rest!), so I’ll just say thank you again for your hospitality and generosity.  And a special thanks to Marina for taking care of the girls so spectacularly!  I truly hope to see you all again! (I’m available to work the booth in Reno!)  If any of you ever find yourselves in L.A. please let me know – Until the next safari….Love, Jenna ViningLos Angeles, CA

This truly was the trip of a lifetime!  The service and accommodations were better than any four star hotel!  But as we know, it is the people who make an experience worthwhile.  Thank you for opening your home & sharing your amazing lives with us.  We will never forget our time here and hope to entertain you in the U.S. one day.  Hopefully the work you do and the way you do it will be the model for Africa! - Love,  Pat Vinning  - CA

Lamprecht Family and Crew , The Kenz and I had a wonderful experience at your place the past 10 days.  The food & care you gave us was above reproach.  The Father son hunt cannot be described in words.  It does my heart good to see my son be so passionate about something.  Joof, I believe you could take any animal on the place on any day if that was your desire.  We will see you guys in Reno.  I would like to bring Wendy here.  I know she would love it. - Jack Simms & Kenzie  - WY

To the HNS Staff: My deepest gratitude goes to you for making my dream of 12 years become a reality, a father & Son Safari hunt.  It exceeded my own expectations.  The daily experiences I’ve enjoyed the past 10 days, now will forever serve as treasured archives in the growth of my relationship with my 12-year-old son Ryan. HNS is the place for any hunter seeking the total safari experience.  You receive our highest grade, and our industry should turn to your operation as a model of how other safari outfitters and operators should conduct their business.  Cheers, Marc ‘Bwana Mojo” Watts & Ryan Watts - Chicago, IL

Joof, Marina, Louis, Leandra and the crew,  THANK YOU!  This has been the trip of a lifetime!  We have spent months getting ready for this trip, preparing, shopping, practicing shooting, researching, etc.  It was all worth it.  I just got more & more excited until the day we flew out.  From that time, to the time we arrived at our ‘home away from home’, to when I pulled the trigger on my first African trophy, to the time we left, we have enjoyed nothing short of the best experience Africa has to offer. Namibia truly is the hidden gem of Africa.  Your staff is well trained and extremely pleasant.  Louis and Leandra have been wonderful.  Joof has taught me countless lessons about hunting and Africa.  Marina you were always kind and accommodating.  I have acquired the utmost appreciation for Africa, Namibia, the sport of hunting, the sacred wildlife, and the conservation efforts that make sure that these precious animals will be here for generations to come.  For that I cannot thank you all enough . The food was great, the hunting superb, and the friendship unforgettable.  Thank you for sharing your piece of Africa with us!  I will never forget this experience and all that it has taught me.  Tell Johnny I will miss him and his amazing eyesight.  I will miss you all.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  Till we meet again, God be with you.  See you in January!  - Aaron Robert Leupp PrestidgeHelotes TX,

To the Hunters Namibia Safari Family, This trip has been an amazing dream.  After years of planning and hoping, I can’t believe it actually happened.  I feel like for a short time I was able to experience an incredible life of the African Safari.  Cheyann & I are so grateful for all the knowledge and hospitality that was shared.  Thank you for all the special details that have contributed to making this a wonderful stay and an amazing adventure.  We are so excited to have our trophies & photos and remember the hunt with the fondest memories.  Thank you for teaching me to be a better Hunter and to see life in the bush. Everyone here is  beautiful and full of life, and it was a joy to be around.  Thank you for giving us a love for AFRICA. Adam & Cheyann PrestidgeTheprestidges.blogspot.com  - Helotes Texas & San Juan Capo - CA

We came for a hunt, but left having experienced so much more.  Namibia is a beautiful country and far exceeded our expectations.  We have gained so much knowledge about the amazing countryside and animals.  Thank you so much for the hospitality, it was unsurpassed!  Thank you for helping us find the Southern Cross.  We shall see you again. Brad Prestidge  - PS:  Let me know if anyone tops my Eland! - Brad Prestidge  - Houston, TX

Dear Lamprechts – Joof, Marina, Louis, Leandra, Charlie, Jack & Didi! What an amazing experience!  This has been a vacation that exceeds my imagination.  I have loved learning about Namibia and will come away always calling it beautiful!  Marina you are a fabulous ambassador – one of your country’s gems!  Quite surprisingly as a non-hunter I expected to the just along for the ride.  However I have learned so much about all the beauty that surrounds and have felt completely involved with the hunting group.  It is wonderful that Joof & Louis are so knowledgeable and willing to teach and answer questions all day long!  It is obvious that your exceptional Safari experience happens because of the work of so many dedicated people.  Henock is an amazing Chef and I appreciate him accommodating our individual tastes! Leandra you are a non-stop, at your service, woman on the go to meet our every need.  Thank you for smiling every time I said, yes when you asked would you like some tea!  This has been a most memorable vacation for our family.  Everyone had a great time.  From the crisp mornings to the fiery sunsets to the star-filled sky each day has been a blessing and a song shared with our new friends in Namibia.  Fondly, Cynthia Prestidge - Houston, TX - PS:  We will miss our little friends, Charlie, Jack & Didi!

Dear Lamprechts!  Joof, Marina, Louis, Leandra, Henock, Lahja and Staff!  Thanks you for such a wonderful experience here in ‘BEAUTIFUL NAMIBIA’!  I felt so at home in your wondrous, welcoming country.  The food was amazing, thanks Henock!  And the Hunting experiences were unforgettable.  I’ll never forget the time we spent at the school.  It was truly life altering.  Thank you for showing us the land in ways we might not have otherwise seen it.  The sounds, sights, smells and feelings came to life for me in such a magical way.  This was a very educational trip.  I’ve never learned more in such a short time.  Leandra & Louis are a super team of miracle working Blondie’s.  The made juice appear out of thin air!  That’s a talent.  Thanks to both of you for many laughs and fun times.  Joof and Marina – Thank you for your love of the land and passion for the life here.  It has taught me so much. BUY-A-DONKEY TO ALL!  - XOXO – OLIVIA PRESTIDGE – 15 years old!  - Houston, TX

Thank you so much for sharing the beauty of Namibia with my family.  It is so beautiful here.  I can’t believe it’s coming to an end for me.  I will never forget the days I’ve spent here and all the wonderful experiences I’ve had.  I’ve learned so much and I will be sure to share it.  You guys made us feel right at home.  Everything was perfect.  I felt so welcome.  Congratulations on converting yet another vegetarian, though I don’t think I’ll much like the meat back home after having the best of the best here (Thank you Henock!)  Also, I will definitely be using the flat coke for stomachaches and the drinking technique for the hiccups!  Thank you so much for everything.  I will be sending clothes and goods to the school and I will be back!  Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!  Till we meet again! - Love, Sarah Grace Prestidge - 17 years old!  - Houston, TX

OCTOBER

Dear Jofie and Monica, Namibia now has a special place in our hearts and minds. Thank you for guiding us through this fantastic country and allowing it to tell its story. Each chapter has been unique, special and breath-taking. We have loved every minute. We will promise never to take a “P setting” photo ever again. Manual settings from this day forward! ISO 100, aperture 5.6, exposure even- shutter speeds checked! Clearly Africa has put us both in a restful trance- we don’t even know what month it is! Jenny has just reminded me that we are in fact in October. Ha! We very much hope we can stay in touch and one day return to pick up where we left off, as there is so much more we would like to see. With our best wishes and huge thanks, Will Austin Vautier and Jenny Gamlin - Jersey, England - p.s. Bella is the cutest puppy ever!!! We will miss you all!

J
ofie and Monica, One of the best holidays of my life. Jofie’s knowledge and experience of wildlife and photographty made each day an exciting adventure. My knowledge of photography has improved more so in one week than in ten years I have been taking photos. Each day just got better with over 1200 photos taken…Thank you Jofie and Monica for making my holiday one I will never forget. - Charles Gamlin - Jersey, England

Dear Jofie and Monica, Thank you for a truly A-mazing trip. I think this has been the fastest 2 weeks of my life! It was probably the only time I have been more than happy to get up at 5:30 A.M.!! We saw so many amazing things and have loads of stories and photos to tell and show our friends. Thanks for showing me how to use the camera I have had for 4 years properly1 I have definitely hfound a new hobby and will use that going forward. Hopefully see you again for another safari adventure soon. My final 3 words- BEST HOLIDAY EVER! Thank you, Katherine Gamlin - Jersey, England

Monday, 19 October (or so I am told) Has it really only been 2 weeks? Jersey life seems a distant memory. Thank you for arranging this unforgettable experience for us. Before we left I considered this a very expensive holiday- now I know it is priceless. The service, accommodation and food at the Lake Lodge was truly 5 star. The little extras made the difference- John’s smile when we first noticed the trophy photo next to our bed literally went from ear to ear. My three words on each leg of the trip are: Lake Lodge-Now I Know; Swakopmund-Tommy the Legend; Etosha-Life Long Memory; Caprivi-Garden of Eden; Bushmanland- Education is Relative. And our final three words- WILL BE BACK!!! - Truusje Gamlin - Jersey, England

Great Trophies, Great Tracking, Great Hunting. … Exceeded my expectations in every way! Next time I hope you will let me shoot the 64” Kudu. Thank you. - John Gamlin - Jersey, England
