To Johnny, your spotting ability to see the invisible was beyond our belief. You were amazing. How you rode on the back all day long we’ll never know. Dear Joof, Marina and Louis , We have never experienced more gracious and genuine hospitality. The accommodations and caring staff have made our holiday memorable and relaxing. The view from our window at 6 am will always be with us. Thank you for sharing your lovely dinner table with us every evening and including us in Joof’s birthday celebration. Louis and Johnny, you are the absolute best hunting partners!! And, Louis, you have taught us so much about African plants, birds, animals and more. Thank you. Dear Jofie and Monica,This was the third and most exciting of the Elevator Safari Series. It has been a great pleasure to be with you again, spend time with Joof and Marina, cuddle with Umbra, and meet Bella, Tilly, Schatzie and Gizmo. Visiting Waterberg was a fantastic experience which was made even more exciting with the successful Buffalo hunt. The Lake Lodge is a comfortable home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You made us feel at home! The staff did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Josef’s meals were of gourmet quality! Watching rugby on the “box” and learning about the game was fun! The exciting moments during the hunts will be a lasting memory enhanced by Jofie’s super photos! Anne and I are both thrilled with the trophies and wish to express our gratitude to Jofie and Abiud for their tireless efforts finding and stalking the animals! And what could have been nicer than to have Monica welcome us back after a day of hunting with a roaring fire and drinks in hand?! Many thanks for the temporary loan of Umbra the super hunting dog and delightful bed mate. We wish you the best on your future plans and can’t wait until we return again. Dear Joof, Marina, family and staff We have had a wonderful time on our 40th Wedding Anniversary safari! This has been a great celebration. Thank you for your friendship and hospitality. The time spent in Swakopmund was relaxing and invigorating all at the same time. We needed that and it was a great start to our safari. The time here at your Main Lodge has been fantastic. The hunt for each animal was great and the trophies spectacular. The talks around the find and the meals were wonderful. I have learned that if you find something warm, soft and furry, that you were not expecting, in your bed, look what it is first before trying to attack it - it might just be a thoughtful gift! (a hot water bottle!) It is with sadness that we leave, but we take so many wonderful, happy and joyful memories with us - thanks for everything, especially the cake to celebrate our wedding anniversary. To Joof, Marina and Staff: Another incredible safari with you has come to a close. As I am writing this I am already missing this Eden which you have developed. The hunting was intense and the adrenaline that flows during the climax of the hunt is worth whatever dollars or hardship it cost to get here. We talk about the beauty of the land and the animals, but not enough is said about the wonderful people who take care of your every need. Your staff is very kind and the food better than any 5-star restaurant I have even dined in. The lodge is immaculate, and our rooms were more than we could have asked for. Marina and Joof , Thank you for making our first trip to Africa a wonderful and magical experience. When we met you in January Greg and I both knew we would be in the most capable hands. From arrival to departure, it has been one of the most memorable times of our lives! Cornie was awesome, and Johnny was 'Superman" with eyes like none I have even seen. Your staff - Hennok especially - were so sweet and helpful and courteous. Wish we could have spend more time with Jofie and his Texas bride - our best to them. This has been a wonderful experience for me. My safari was more than I could have asked for. I saw so much beautiful country, and so many wonderful animals. The trophy animals I took will be displayed proudly in our home. My room at the Lake Lodge was comfortable and so well kept. Please tell Josef my hat is off to him and his meals.
