Dear Joof and Marina, Once again you have made our trip to Namibia much more than just a great safari.  It was a wonderful relaxing holiday and a reunion with true friends that have become more like family than just friends.  Our third safari will not be our last! Marina, every detail was just perfect as always.  Your staff is superior, the service was great and the food was 'to die for' as we say in the U.S.A.Joof, the hunting was great as I have come to expect!  The water and tall grass made it challenging but even more fun!  Hard earned trophies will always be remembered.  So will screw-ups like forgetting to load my rifle!!  Watching Johnny track is simply amazing, and having Louis in the truck with us enriched the experience.  He will make a fine P.H. We look forward to seeing you in the U.S.A. next year at Dallas and Reno, as well as at our next Hunters Namibia safari.  Keep us posted on Big Game concessions! Warmest Regards, Evan Douthit - Stilwell, KS - U.S.A  edouthit@dfrglaw.com

To Our Very Dear Friends, This is our third experience shared with you in Namibia and I hope it will not be our last!  With each safari we gain more knowledge and experience, but the excitement of being here is as new as the first time.  We feel so fortunate to have all of you in our lives.  You are more than good friends, you are like family and we are saddened every time we have to leave you and this beautiful place!  Once again, our time here has given us memories that we will keep with us for a lifetime.  We feel as though a part of our hearts will always be with you here in Namibia! Thank you for the wonderful trophies, wonderful food and incredible memories!  As always, we look forward to spending time with all of you in the U.S. Until next time Marina - You have made our Easter Sunday more lovely than we could imagine.  Thanks you for all that you do to make our stay so memorable.  I'm sorry we are missing your birthday. Joof - The next safari, Evan will remember to load the rifle! Hanns-Louis - Ever so handsome!  Remember if your band comes to the US we want back stage passes!  God luck with school! Jofie and Monica - Good luck with everything!  It was so great to see you and the wonderful things you are doing with the Lake Lodge!  Gook luck with the babies - I mean puppies! Louis - Thank you for all your help!  We enjoyed getting to know you!  Our best wishes to you and your wife. Janine Douthit - Stilwell, KS USA  edouthit@kc.rr.com

To Everyone Who Made This a Special Trip! We will always carry these memories with us for the rest of our lives. Thank you Monica for Tara’s and my special adventure prior to the guys hunting:  the dolphin cruise, the desert tour, the balloon ride at daybreak, plus shopping!  You are a delightful hostess. Thank you Jofie for guiding our son and new wife on a once in a lifetime hunting experience.  Your humour and stories, plus wine tasting kept us all on our toes! Thank you Fred for your tireless and steady guiding and for pulling an unexpected ‘rabbit out of the hat’. Thank you Louis and Leandra for making sure we started each day with a smile; and our that stomachs and wine glasses were always full!. Thanks to all the staff who saw to our every need. FIRST CLASS ALL THE WAY! Lastly – thank you for sharing a small piece of your world with my family. Thank you for sharing yourselves. May God Bless. Elisabeth and Robert Eberling -  Monroe, Louisiana   roberte143@gmail.com

Thank you everyone for a wonderful time (though Jack might suffer frustrations trying to reunite me with only Irish whiskeys).  Much love to all, beyond what I can express without accidentally breaking something. Thanks. Tara Eberling taraeberling@gmail.com

To Jofie, Monica, Abiud, Louis, Leandra and all the wonderful staff of Hunters Namibia, Thank you a thousand times for this amazing African adventure.  As my first trip anywhere and my first experience as a hunter, I can say that I am still in awe of Namibia and all its glorious treasures.  I will forever remember the brilliant skies and the red sand, the wild landscapes and food, the evening around the fire and of course, the chocolates on my pillow each night.  We loved coming back to our room each night looking at the pictures that magically appeared on the bedside table. Many thanks to Jofie and Abiud, our hunting companions.  With the jokes, smiles and great hunting success the days went by too quickly.  A special thanks to Jofie for his special instruction and patience on my first shooting experience. We will forever be spoiled by our hunting trip to Namibia. Thank you for a thousand memories, smiles, pictures and stories.  They certainly won’t be forgotten, and perhaps will be relived when we have a family of our own with whom we want to share Namibia’s treasures. Many thanks. Ruth and Robert Eberling  roberte143@gmail.com - ehrenfeuchter.ruth@bcg.com

Dear Monica and Jofie, Thank you so much for welcoming our family into your home. Our first African safari was a great adventure and hunting experience. Jofie, we have learned so much from you for future hunts! Yours and Monica's hospitality was 5-star. May all your future dreams and plans come true, and remember our home is open for you to stay in the next time your travels take you to Orlando, Florida. Dear Jofie and Monica, Thank you for the wonderful time. I love my zebra, and can't wait to bring my family here. I wish you both the best and hope everything goes well with all your future plans. Everything was just wonderful!!! Renee Paulikas Rpaulikas731@yahoo.com

Dear Jofie and Monica, My brother and I truly enjoyed our stay with you. The hospitality was outstanding and the wildlife and hunting was beyond our expectations. Unfortunately our stay was far shorter than we needed to fully experience Namibia, so we will be making plans to return. Jofie and Monica, thank you again for the food, comfort, and most of all the wildlife.- Matt Begemann - Kansas City, MO Mbbty8@mizzou.edu

Dear Jofie and Monica, WOW! What can I say? My wife and I never hunted before anywhere in the world, so it was very unique to find our first hunting trip in Namibia Africa. I guess if you are going to start hunting, there is no better place in the world. Jofie was very patient and a great teacher - so good I was able to take a black wildebeest that will be hung proudly in my home back in Kansas City. Monica was a fantastic host and always made us feel at home. Our stay was short and I cannot wait to return. The next time I return I will stay for a week or more. - Jim “Tex” Riggs - Kansas City, MO jimriggs@jimriggs.com

July 2008

Marina and Joof: Yo, thank you! We have had the most amazing experience here with Hunters Namibia Safaris celebrating our marriage of ten, nearly eleven years.  From the minute that we arrived we instantly knew that we were somewhere magical.  Your hospitality and graciousness, and that of the staff, has been impeccable and nothing was left unattended.  I loved sitting by the warm fire in the evening under the Southern Cross listening to all the unforgettable stories of the past, laughing and enjoying sundowners together.  Every one of the lunches and dinners was a beautifully presented masterpiece and tasted even better – I know I won’t eat like this again until we return – thank you Chef Hennok, Marina and Leandra! And the main reason that we came to Africa, to view (looky, looky!) and hunt (bangy, bangy!) the regal animals, became a learning experience of respect and awe combined with feelings and emotions that cannot be described in words alone.  The breathtaking landscape and perfect weather were just the icing on the cake.  I will never forget the nervousness I felt when I shot my first animal, the Oryx bull, let alone shooting some of my first shots ever!  Thank you Joof, Johnny and Louis for your words of advice, your time and especially your patience!  Next time we visit, I will arrive as a practiced shooter – I promise! Over the last two weeks, we have completely fallen in love with this beautiful and friendly county and….I know in my heart that we are leaving temporarily, only to return to good friends and to our next amazing African adventure.  Thank you for giving us one of the most wonderful experiences that life has to offer. With love, Leanne and Griff Kelly  - Texas  gkelly@reatares.com

A little apprehensive, and Justin oh so pensive, we looked forward to our African stay. Marina and Joof what incredible hosts, soon all our cares passed away. In the dawn’s early light, we rise in delight, to see such wonderful splendor. Decrees of the dawn, the dark light is gone, and the grass glows with a warm golden ember. Now on our safari, out on the Kalahari, this is the life for me. Blood red sky, that shock your eyes, and golden grass that looks like a sea. Don’t think you’re so inclined to leave your hat behind, they say blondes scare animals away. Joof will growl like a bear, and says cover your hair, or don’t come hunting with me. Joof is very tall, he makes me seem quite small, and on a stalk I follow closely behind him. He tells me not to talk, and exactly where to walk. I get in trouble if I don’t mind him. Although many may fear, Joof Lamprecht's a dear, with a heart as big as a lion, But you shall surely die; if you make him cry, sometimes words are not needed. You won’t have a prayer, if not dressed in tribally wear while you are out on the Kalahari, the color is green so you won’t be seen, while stalking wild game on safari. I put on sneaky shoes, and stalked after kudus, and we saw Zebras just drift away. But Sneakiest of all was my day at the mall, and trying to buy Marina a gift. Marina is divine; you are always on her mind, making sure your stay is perfection. The staff and the crew know what to do, and we will always have a lasting connection. Out on our truck, we have best of luck; our spotters have eyes sharp as eagles. Didi and I don’t even try; we just sit there and try to look regal. Didi is fast, she runs through the grass, she looks like a bolt of white lighting, she’s spot on the kill, oh what a thrill, for a small dog she can be quite frightening. It’s big medicine you see, a rite of passage for me, when you look down the sight of that rifle. It is a part of the thrill, heart ache or kill, even the brave can be stifled. The trophies come in, I can’t pretend, that is not truly euphoric. The African nights, the warm golden light, I will always adore it. Round the camp fire, before we retire, we share stories of triumph and loss. The zebra and sable we were unable to find them at any cost.  To Joof Lamprecht I say, I will treasure my days with you out on African Safari, It is imbedded in my soul, of adventures untold, out on the Kalahari. I offer this toast, to Marina and Joof; I feel that I am in debt to you. With a tear in my eyes, and I must say good bye, and I will never forget you. Alicia Haynes - Alpine, TX  abhaynes@mac.com

Justin Haynes sent this message as soon as he got back to Texas: Dearest Joof and Marina, I wanted to thank you both for providing Alicia and me with one of the most memorable and special experience of our lives.  Our expectations were high for our first trip to Africa, and I can honestly say that the service provided by Hunters Namibia surpassed all of them. Africa has a different effect on people, as I am sure you are aware.  One of the feelings we were left with upon return to our home is one of complete wonderment for your beautiful home, your country, and the continent of Africa.  When we took off at dusk on the final leg of our journey in a small aircraft, we looked out over the landscape of Texas and the light was shining through the clouds and dust.  God is such an artist in so many ways, isn’t he?  The view was so spectacular and yet so similar to some of the views on your land.  We were silent for a moment, both just looking.  When I looked over at my beautiful wife, I saw that she had a tear in the corner of her eye.  It was that moment that I know that we had experienced with your family so much more than just a hunting trip.  I realized that along with the wonderment of Africa we were both left also left with a sense of loss and longing, one that only comes from missing a true friend.  Along with the memories of a fine hunt, that is what we will take with us.  What a rare experience it was. A part of us will always yearn for more of Africa… and a part of you will always remain in our hearts.Your friend, Justin Haynes - Alpine, TX JustinHaynes@BBTCO.COM

The Nolans of Dallas: Mimi, Mike, Jamie (19), Francis (18), Georgia (13), Maggie (11), Annie (9). A “Really” great experience!! I really  don’t know where to begin! The entire experience was truly, “really, magical, from the finest cuisine, finest accommodations and by far the best hospitality!  Really! Are you sure you two are not from Texas? Visiting the school was an eye-opener and an experience my children and I will never forget.  Thank you for that!  No telephone, music and TV has helped our family spend quality time with our kids, and you can’t replace that! Marina and Joof are the true diamonds in the bush!  Thank you for taking care of us and I hope ‘the gals’ were not too “high maintenance”.  They will never forget this special time! We “really” loved the staff!I also wanted to thank Louis and Leandra for first class hospitality!  The girls loved going to town and shopping and having lunch with Leandra.  They also enjoyed the “Looky, Looky’ truck with Louis.  We also loved meeting Hennok and all of the girls!  We will be dieting for the next 2 weeks!  Thank you, thank you to all! My love, Mimi Nolan, Dallas, TX miminolan@charter.net  (Thanks, Joof, for all the new words the girls have learned – their vocabulary has expanded!!)

Dear Joof, Marina, Louis, Leandra, Johnny, Hennok and everyone else who made our stay in Namibia so memorable. From hunting all day to telling stories by the fire at night, this has been the greatest family trip we have ever had. Hope to come back in the future. Sincerely, Jamie Nolan (19) “The 3 bullet man”  Dear Joof and Marina, Thank you for a great vacation.  I had so much fun.  I am going to miss all your stories around the fire.  I have had so much fun with the puppies. I don’t know what I am going to do without them.  Leandra I have had so much fun with you.  I am so sad to leave.  Come to my house in Dallas. Annie Nolan (9) Dear Hunters Namibia Staff, Thank you so much for making this trip so fun!  Before we came it was hard from me to imagine myself as a 17 year old girl having fun on a hunting trip to Africa, but you have really made that possible.  Everyone was so kind, and the whole vacation ran so smoothly.  I'm sure you’ve heard my favorite part of the trip was when Chef Hennok would come out to the fire and say “Good Evening everyone” and then tell us what’s for dinner that night.  The food was so amazing – that’s another thing I was worried about, but it was one of the best parts!  Nothing was how I expected it to be!  I am very impressed with my experience in Africa!  Thanks again! Francis Nolan P.S. Tell Hennok he needs to move to Dallas – I don’t think we have any African restaurants! Dear Joof, Marina, Louis and Leandra, Thank you so much for this amazing trip!  I do not know what I will do without the little puppies!  I am sad to leave.  I never want to leave.  I am having so much fun.  It’s almost over and it feels like it just began.  I will miss Joof’s stories and will never forget them.  I am going to miss you all sooooo much.  But we will see you in Dallas.  Thanks again for this awesome trip. Sincerely, Maggie Nolan (11) Dear Louis, We enjoyed spending time at the beach with you.  I admire your patience, kindness and love for children.  I think all 4 of the girls have a “crush” on you!  I feel like we really covered some ground in Swakopmund and understand your love for this magical town.  You are a joy to be around and we wish you and Leandra much health, happiness and blessings in your life! Love, Mimi Nolan Dear Joof and Marina and Staff, Thank you so much for making this trip so much fun and so memorable. I had such a great time and cannot wait until ya’ll come to Dallas.  I will miss everyone so much! Love, Georgia Nolan (13) Dear Joof and Marina, Thank you for sharing your world with my family and I. The hunting, camaraderie and cuisine all surpassed our expectations.  All of your staff made us feel welcome and comfortable.  Experiencing Joof and Johnny hunting together was a once in a lifetime experience, although I wish that I had not put Johnny’s skills to the test so often. Chef Hennok and the lodge staff made it feel as if we were at a 5-star hotel.  Leandra and Louis made the trip as special for the girls as it was for Jamie and I hunting.  Looking forward to our next visit already!  August 2008

Dear Jofie and Monica, Words cannot express the joy and thankfulness that we experienced on this fabulous safari. There is no greater joy for a father than to see his son grow and develop into a young man! With Jofie’s patient attention and instruction, Hudson grew into a very good shooter and has begun what I hope to be a life-long love affair with hunting and with Africa! Monica, I cannot thank you enough for your tender nursing when Hudson was not feeling so well! A young man needs exactly that touch when feeling ill. That certainly turned him around for the last days of his hunt! Thanks so much. Tom Leiser - Dallas TX Tleiser@banderaventures.com

Dear Jofie and Monica,Thank you so much for the safari. I had so much fun. I will always remember my first kill, the blue wildebeest, and the huge hartebeest. All the eland stalks were very fun and the eland was huge!!!! Thank you Monica for taking care of me when I was sick and all the delicious desserts. I will always remember this safari. Thanks again! Hudson Leiser - Dallas TX

 September 2008

Dear Joof and Marina ,  Thank you for the wonderful 10 days at your beautiful lodge! The hunting was extremely exciting and Joof does a great job in choosing the animals to be taken… great trophies were a fine reward. The trip to Windhoek was very exciting and confirmed what you both told us – that Namibia really is the success story of Africa. Last, but not least, thanks for the fantastic food - thanks to Marina and the exceptional kitchen personnel - it was the best we ever had on any safari. Stefan Serlachius - Cairo Egypt   Sserlachius@hotmail.com

As a non-hunter I also very much enjoyed the safari and your great hospitality! It was wonderful to be in nature amongst the animals! I am so honored that Marina invited me to come with her one day to see her remarkable charity work. I was very touched by the children at the school and the nursery in Omitara. In town I was impressed by the scholarship students and your whole programme. Marina, Joof, Leandra, Louis and all of the staff – I admire you! Thank you so much! Good luck for the future! Love, Christina Beverin - Cairo Egypt cobran61@hotmail.com
