THE HUNTERS NAMIBIA SAFARI LODGES

To See Lodge & Country Photos

Hunters Namibia Safaris offers you the option of staying either at the Hunters Namibia Safaris Main Lodge, out of which Joof and Marina Lamprecht operate, or the Hunters Namibia Safaris Lake Lodge, operated by Jofie Lamprecht.

When booking  either of the Hunters Namibia Safaris Lodges, exclusivity is guaranteed, with you and your party having the entire lodge to yourselves.

The Hunters Namibia Safari Lodges are run in the classic, elegant style of a traditional safari camp. The lodges are spacious buildings of natural stone with a thatched roof designed by Joof Lamprecht to blend in with the surrounding rocky kopjes and vast savannas.

All guest suites have an en-suite bathroom with basin, flushing toilet and large shower with high pressure hot and cold running water. The beds are solid wood with thick, firm mattresses and down duvets and pillows.  Rich, dark mahogany furniture, bedside tables, a luggage rack, large wardrobe, comfortable chairs, a desk, ceiling fans, and a balcony, as well as lovely brass accents such as reading and floor lamps, complete the comfortable, distinctly safari-style rooms.

The lodges have permanent 220 volt electrical power, which is compatible for the use of most electrical appliances bought world-wide.
An excellent daily laundry service, with same day return that really works, is provided.

The Main Lodge
was designed both to be the Lamprecht family home, but also to bring joy and exceptional pleasure to each visiting guest as well.  The meticulous attention given by Marina Lamprecht to the design of the courtyard area, complete with everything from an extensive herb garden to the most beautiful Bougainvillea climbing the rocky walls, and the view of the two loft suites, is just stunning.

The Loft Suites are designed for  guests  who enjoy true safari luxury at its grandest.  Each suite is equipped with a wood-burning fire place, to bring warmth to the chilly winter evenings.  One Loft Suite has an adjoining room, for families  who wish to share their living space with one another.  The second Loft Suite is designed as a private room.  Both are decorated in the true Hunters Namibia fashion, complete with luxurious white linens and elegant safari decor.

The sun deck with hammocks and deck chairs, and the swimming pool and summer house were especially designed to make a stay in the Cottage Rooms more enjoyable for non-hunters and children. Water holes have been strategically placed near the Cottage Rooms to allow game viewing and photography from your suite and sun decks.

Although we prefer that you relax and enjoy your beautiful surroundings, the Main Lodge is equipped with wireless Internet service.  Each guest is also welcome to use the Lamprecht family media room, complete with an extensive library, television, DVD player, and quite the collection of both retro and current movies to choose from!

The Lake Lodge is the home of Joof and Marina’s eldest son, Professional Hunter & photographer Jofie Lamprecht.  It was designed to be a cozy, luxurious retreat, in the classic style of an old safari lodge.  From the dining and bar furniture  crafted from teak railway ties procured from Rhodesia, to the grand book cases found in Zanzibar, the Lake Lodge promises the ultimate in enjoyment from your day of arrival, until long after your return home.  Each room has an en-suite bathroom and the finest linen, and is decorated in same unforgettable style as the Main Lodge in order to ensure that your stay is exceptionally comfortable.

From the rock garden to the aloe-lined path to the beautiful lake, which is  the daily resting place for a diverse array of animal and bird life , your stay will be unforgettable at the picturesque Lake Lodge.

The Hunting Day usually starts just before sunrise with a choice of beverages served in your suite by a friendly camp attendant, and followed by a hearty breakfast in the main dining room.

Hunters Namibia Safaris offers world class local cuisine inspired by Marina, and expertly prepared by Chefs Henok and Joseph, and the small, dedicated kitchen team. Venison from the hunt is always served accompanied by a wide variety of organically grown salads, fruit, vegetables and herbs from the gardens. Fresh bread, biscuits and treats are baked daily in the old fashioned wood-burning oven. Non-venison as well as vegetarian meals are prepared, with pleasure, on request.

During the heat of midday the hunters and observers return to camp for a buffet- style lunch which is served outdoors. A short siesta is followed by coffee at 15h00 before returning to the wild open veldt.

Each Evening the hunters return just before dinner time to sundowners (cocktails) served around the roaring outdoor fire. This is historically the time of day when the best memories of wilderness experiences, as well as hunting and fishing tales, are exchanged in the romantic glow of the Acacia wood flames. A traditional drum beat announces dinner, which is always a candle-lit three course gourmet treat.

Top quality South African wines, international brands of whiskey, gin, vodka and world-class Namibian beer, as well as a variety of soft drinks, are available in camp. Clients are encouraged to notify the Hunters Namibia Safaris team of any other wishes, which will gladly be catered to.

Please Note: If you are a non-hunter who is a little hesitant to accompany your hunting spouse or friend, or if, as a prospective hunter, you have further questions, special needs or specific concerns regarding our accommodations, cuisine or similar issues not covered here, we encourage you to chat with Marina Lamprecht, via Email, and visit her page for interesting and helpful articles.
